Ingredients

1 1/4 cups unsalted butter , softened
2/3 cup white sugar
2 cups sifted all purpose flour , divided
1 3/4 cups ground almonds
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
5 tablespoons raspberry jam
1/3 cup confectioners ' sugar for decoration

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3.Gradually stir in 1 3/4 cups flour, almonds and cinnamon until blended.
4.Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic and refrigerate until firm.
5.On a floured surface, roll out one half of dough to fit 11 inch tart pan with removable bottom.
6.Spread raspberry jam evenly over bottom.
7.Roll out remaining dough and cut into strips around 1/2 inch wide.
8.Arrange strips in lattice pattern over the jam.
9.Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
10.Let cool.
11.Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
