Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon salt ( optional )
1/2 cup packaged fresh basil leaf , roughly chopped
1/2 cup pasta water
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Linguine With Portabella Mushrooms and Broccoli is a healthy, flavorful pasta dish that is perfect for a family dinner. This recipe combines fresh linguine with tender portabella mushrooms and crunchy broccoli florets, all in a rich tomato-based sauce spiked with garlic and red pepper flakes. Instructions

1.Cook linguine according to package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
2.Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add garlic, broccoli, and mushrooms, cooking for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
3.Deglaze the skillet with white or red wine, or low-sodium canned beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
4.Add diced tomatoes, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt (optional) to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
5.Add chopped basil leaves and 1/2 cup of reserved pasta water to the skillet and stir until combined.
6.Add drained linguine to the skillet and toss with the sauce until pasta is evenly coated.
7.Serve hot with grated parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
