1/2 cup romano cheese , if desired
salt and pepper , to taste
1 lb fettuccine , cooked , and drained

Instructions

1.In a large pot, cook fettuccine according to package directions.
2.In a separate saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
3.Add pressed garlic to the butter and stir until fragrant.
4.Gradually add half-and-half into the saucepan, whisking constantly. Bring to a simmer.
5.Add parmesan cheese and romano cheese (if desired) to the saucepan, a little at a time, whisking constantly until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
6.Add salt and pepper to taste.
7.Drain cooked fettuccine and toss with the Alfredo sauce in the saucepan until well coated.
8.Serve immediately, topped with extra parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.
