Ingredients

2 roma tomatoes
1 slice onion , a 1 1/2 inch piece is good
1 -2 dried arbol chile ( or 1 fresh serrano , 1/2 fresh jalapeno , or 1 dried guajillo )
salt , to taste

Instructions

1.Broil the tomatoes and onion on high until charred, flipping halfway through.
2.Toast the dried chile on a dry skillet for 30 seconds on each side.
3.Remove stems from the chile and cut in half.
4.Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth.
5.Strain through a sieve, and add salt to taste.
