Instructions

1.In a small bowl, stir together the yeast, warm milk, and 1 teaspoon of the sugar until the mixture is creamy. Set aside for 10 minutes.

3.Gradually add the warm water to the mixture while stirring with a wooden spoon, until the dough is smooth and no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl. The dough will be very sticky.
4.Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise in warm, draft-free place for approximately 1 hour.
5.Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
6.On a floured surface, divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces and shape each piece into a round or oval flatbread.
7.Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the breads are golden brown on top.
