Ingredients

4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1 cup French lentils
1 lb tomatoes , cored and diced
6 green onions , trimmed and chopped
1/4 cup red onion , diced small

1/4 cup fresh dill
1/4 cup fresh basil
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar ( or use balsamic vinegar )
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 pinch fresh black pepper

Instructions
