Ingredients

3 cups warm water
1 ( .25 ounce ) package yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
8 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour , or more if needed
2 cups olive oil
1 cup corn oil
2 cups fresh za'atar

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes.
2.Add the salt, sugar, all-purpose flour, and whole wheat flour to the bowl and mix until dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
3.Return the dough to the bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

6.Divide the dough into 16 pieces and roll out each piece into a small circle.
7.Spoon 2 tablespoons of the za’atar filling on top of each dough circle and spread it out evenly.
8.Bake the breads for 5-7 minutes, until the edges begin to brown.
9.Serve the Lebanese Zaatar (Za'atar) Bread hot from the oven.
