Ingredients

1 tablespoon sugar

1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 kg fresh spinach
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 large onions , finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
2 tablespoons ground sumac ( as desired )
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon thickened pomegranate juice ( as desired )

Instructions

9.Pinch the edges together to seal the filling.
10.Place the pies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
