Ingredients

9 uncooked lasagna noodles
4 large baking potatoes , peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon onion salt , or to taste
salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 pound bacon
1 onion , chopped
2 cups dry cottage cheese
1 egg

Lazy perogies are a casserole-style dish that takes away the traditional time-consuming process of perogies making. It is made with cooked lasagna noodles, mashed potatoes, bacon, onion, and cottage cheese, which are layered in a baking dish and baked until bubbly. This dish is perfect for serving at parties, family dinner, or any day you want to indulge yourself with a delicious and comforting treat.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3.Boil potatoes in another pot until tender. Drain and mash together with milk, butter, onion salt, salt, and black pepper.

5.In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked noodles and cover with the potato mixture. Add the remaining noodles then top with shredded Cheddar cheese.
6.Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
