3/4 cup granulated sugar
5 tablespoons fresh lavender flowers
3/4 cup unsalted butter , melted & cooled
2 large eggs , at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
confectioners ' sugar

Instructions

1.In a food processor, blend together sugar and lavender flowers until the flowers are finely chopped and mixture is fragrant.
2.In a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract and lavender mixture until frothy.
3.Fold in the flour until just combined and let the batter rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
4.Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray madeleine mold with cooking spray and dust with flour.
5.Spoon 1 tablespoon of the batter into each shell. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
6.Gently remove the madeleines from the mold and dust with confectioners' sugar.
