Ingredients

650 g beef , minced
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion , small dice
125 g button mushrooms
125 g smoked bacon , diced

400 g canned tomatoes , chopped
2 tablespoons tomato puree
salt and pepper , to taste
1 -2 beef bouillon cube
75 g mozzarella cheese , fine grate
75 g parmesan cheese , fine grate
9 sheets lasagna noodles
60 g butter
1/3 cup flour
2 cups milk
100 g cheddar cheese , grated

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 180C.
2.Brown the beef in a hot skillet with oil.

4.Add herbs, chili pepper flakes, canned tomatoes, tomato puree and bouillon cube then stir and simmer for 20 minutes.
5.Boil lasagna noodles until al dente, drain then rinse.
6.Make white sauce by melting 60g butter in a saucepan until melted then add 1/3 cup flour.
7.Stir in the milk slowly, while whisking, until the mixture thickens then remove from heat.
8.Mix mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
9.In a large dish, layer noodles, then beef mixture, then cheese mixture and then a drizzle of white sauce.
10.Repeat step 9 two more times until all ingredients are used up.
11.Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the last layer of white sauce.
12.Bake for 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
