Ingredients

1 lb ground beef ( or Italian sausage )
1 medium onion ( diced )
1 garlic clove ( minced )
1 1/2 cups favorite pasta sauce ( I prefer Mushroom Prego )
1 1/4 cups ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits ( Makes 20 )
2 cups mozzarella cheese ( grated )
Lasagna Sliders-Cupcakes are a fun twist on traditional lasagna. These individual servings are portable and make for a great party appetizer or main dish. The layers of meaty pasta sauce, cheesy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella cheese are cooked together inside biscuits for a handheld, yummy meal. Using refrigerated biscuits makes it easier and faster to whip up a batch of these sliders. They're fantastic for a snack, quick evening meal, or entertaining guests.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2.Brown ground beef with diced onions and minced garlic over medium-high heat until fully cooked and onion is tender.
3.Drain any excess fat.
4.Add pasta sauce to the beef mixture, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
5.In a separate mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and egg.
6.Flatten each biscuit out and press it into the bottom of a greased muffin tin.
7.Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on top of each biscuit.
8.Add a spoonful of the ricotta mixture on top of the meat.
9.Top with grated mozzarella cheese.
10.Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, making sure to end with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
11.Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
