Lángoše is a popular street food in Hungary and other parts of Central Europe. It is typically served at fairs, festivals, and markets. This fried dough recipe is made with a simple dough mixture and stuffed with a savory combination of garlic and cheese. Lángoše is best served fresh and hot, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispy texture.

Instructions

.In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and salt.
.Add warm milk to the bowl and stir well. Cover the bowl and let it rest for 10 minutes until the yeast has activated.
.Add the flour to the bowl and stir until a dough forms.
.Cover the bowl again and place it in a warm location for 1 hour.
.Cut the dough into small pieces and roll them out flat into circles.
.In a separate bowl, mix grated cheese and minced garlic.
.Place a spoonful of the mixture onto each dough circle and fold it in half to close the edges. Press down on the dough gently to seal it shut.
.Heat the sunflower oil in a skillet on high heat and fry each dough pocket for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
