Ingredients

6 small lamb cutlets , high quality
3 sausages , spicy sliced 1/5th inch
2 tomatoes ( peel skin and de seed if you want , I do n't )
1 orange zest
1 onion , finely chopped
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons garlic , minced
thyme
1 bay leaf

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 180C.
2.In a saute pan, add some olive oil and brown the lamb cutlets with the sausages in small batches. Set aside.
3.In the same pan, add more oil and cook your onion for about 5 to 7 minutes until translucent. Then add the garlic, turmeric, and cinnamon; stir well.
4.Add in your peeled and deseeded tomatoes and let them cook for 5 minutes or until they soften.
5.Season everything with salt and ground pepper and then add thyme and bay leaf. Stir well.
6.Transfer your lamb cutlets into the pan and drizzle honey over them along with the orange zest.
7.Pour in 1/2 cup of water and bring everything to a simmer.
8.Cover everything with a lid and transfer to the oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
9.Once the lamb and sausages have browned, take them out and transfer to a clean serving dish.
10.Boil and reduce the sauce as desired and then pour over the lamb and sausages. Serve hot with some jeera rice or couscous. Enjoy!
