Ingredients

2 lbs lamb or 2 lbs chuck roast , cubed into about one-inch pieces
3 knorr beef bouillon cubes
4 cups water
1 onion , halved
2 garlic cloves , whacked
2 lbs whole okra , frozen or fresh
1 onion , chopped
3 garlic cloves , pressed
2 cans Hunts tomato sauce
cooked white rice
Lamb and Okra (Bamyeh) over Rice is a classic Middle Eastern dish that is a staple in many households. Instructions

1.In a pot, add the lamb or chuck roast, beef bouillon cubes, water, halved onion, and 2 garlic cloves. Cook on high heat until it begins to boil then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
2.In another pot, sauté chopped onion and garlic until they become translucent and fragrant.
3.Add in the whole okra and cook until the okra becomes tender and the slime is cooked out, stirring occasionally.
4.Add in the tomato sauce, and continue to cook for a couple more minutes.
5.Serve the lamb and okra over cooked white rice.
