2 tablespoons lemon juice
Lacy Lemon Tuiles are French cookies that are famous for their delicate lace-like patterns. These cookies are made with a batter of confectioners' sugar, all-purpose flour, melted butter, and lemon juice. When baked, the cookies spread out and create a lacy pattern. They are then gently rolled into cigar shapes and let cool, forming a crisp and delicate cookie. These cookies are perfect for afternoon tea, served alongside coffee, or as a sweet accompaniment to ice cream. They are a light and refreshing dessert that's perfect for any occasion.

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.In a bowl, sift the confectioners' sugar and flour. Add melted butter and lemon juice and mix to form a smooth batter.
3.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter on the sheet about 4 inches apart, as the batter spreads while baking.
4.Bake for approximately 8-10 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned and the centers are golden.
5.Remove from the oven and let cool for about a minute, then lift off with a spatula and quickly roll onto a rolling pin to form a curled cigar shape. Let it cool completely. If the cookie is too stiff to remove from the parchment paper, return it to the oven for a few more seconds to soften. Repeat until all the batter is used.
