1 kg boneless goat meat or 1 kg lamb

3 tablespoons butter

6 juniper berries , crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried mint or of fresh mint
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon rum

Instructions

2.Season the goat meat or lamb with salt and pepper.
3.Place a large Dutch oven or oven-safe pot over medium-high heat and add butter.
4.When the butter begins to foam, add the meat and cook until browned on all sides.
5.Add in the juniper berries, sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mint.
6.Pour the white wine over the meat, and bring it to a simmer.
7.Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream and rum.
8.Cover the Dutch oven or pot with a lid and transfer to oven to roast for 2 to 3 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
9.Remove pot from oven and let the meat rest for 10 minutes.
