Ingredients

2 1/4 cups thick plain yogurt
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup pistachios , chopped
1/3 cup blanched almond , toasted and crushed
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 1/2 tablespoons ground coriander
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons coriander seeds , lightly crushed
2 teaspoons nigella seeds
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons turmeric powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pinch ground cardamom
1 pinch saffron thread

Labna Balls rolled in Tunisian Dukkah is a classic Middle Eastern appetizer that is both simple to make and elegant in presentation. Instructions

1.Line a sieve with cheesecloth and place it over a bowl. In another bowl, mix the yogurt with 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and pour the mixture into the sieve.
2.Gather the cheesecloth around the yogurt and twist the top to form a ball. Tie it with a string and refrigerate for 24 hours.
3.Take out the yogurt ball, discard the whey drained from the bowl, and transfer the ball to a plate.
4.In a skillet, add canola oil and olive oil over medium heat. Cook the pistachios, almonds, and sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes until golden, then transfer to a plate.
5.Add coriander, cumin, coriander seeds, nigella, caraway seeds, turmeric, chili powder, black pepper, cardamom, and saffron to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Transfer to a bowl.
6.Roll the labna into 16-18 small balls and roll each ball in the spice mixture.
7.Serve with warm bread, pickle, radish, and chile.
