Kung Pao Turkey Drumsticks are a delicious twist on the classic Chinese dish, Kung Pao Chicken. This recipe uses turkey drumsticks instead of chicken, which gives it a unique and more substantial flavor. The dish is flavored with a sweet and spicy sauce made with honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and chili sauce, and topped with crunchy roasted peanuts and fresh scallions. You can either slow-cook the drumsticks in a Crock-Pot or Instant Pot, or deep-fry them for a crispy texture. This dish is perfect for dinner parties, game nights, or any occasion when you want to impress your guests with a flavorful and healthy main course.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, ginger, canola oil, shallot, garlic, mirin, rice vinegar, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and chili sauce.
2.Place the turkey drumsticks in the slow cooker or large pot and pour the honey mixture over them.
3.Slow cook for 4 to 6 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high. Alternatively, if frying the drumsticks, heat the canola oil in a large, deep pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Fry the turkey drumsticks in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes per batch.
4.Serve the turkey drumsticks hot, sprinkled with roasted peanuts and minced scallions.
