Ingredients

1 lb of shelled walnuts or 1 lb almonds , finely chopped
2 cups honey
6 tablespoons sugar
Kozinaki is a traditional sweet snack that originated in Russia and Greece. It is a simple snack made with just three ingredients - nuts, honey, and sugar. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
2.Roast the chopped nuts on a baking sheet for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
3.In a large saucepan, combine the honey and sugar over medium heat and stir until they are combined.
4.Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes until it reaches the soft ball stage, 235°F/115°C on a candy thermometer.
5.Remove from heat and stir in the roasted nuts.
6.Pour the mixture onto a well-greased surface and spread it evenly.
7.Place a piece of parchment paper over the mixture and while still warm, flatten the mixture using a rolling pin.
8.Cut the flattened mixture into desired shapes and sizes with a sharp knife or cookie cutter.
9.Allow it to cool and harden before serving.
