Ingredients

1 cup black gram dal ( urad )
1 1/2 cups boiled rice
1 1/2 cups broken basmati rice
1/4 cup bengal gram dal ( chana dal )
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida powder ( hing )
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2 kg boneless chicken , shredded
2 tablespoons mustard oil
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon anise seed , coarsely ground ( saunf )
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida powder ( hing )
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
coconut oil , for frying
Kozhi Dosa is a popular dish from the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a savory pancake made by stuffing shredded chicken inside a dosa batter and cooking it on a pan. Instructions

1.Soak the black gram dal, boiled rice, broken basmati rice, and bengal gram dal in enough water for 6 hours.
2.Grind the soaked ingredients to a smooth batter while adding water as required.
3.Add salt, chili powder, asafoetida powder, and garlic paste. Mix well.
4.Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté.
5.Add shredded chicken, mustard seeds, anise seed, and asafoetida powder. Sauté for 3 minutes.
6.Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
7.Heat a non-stick pan and brush a little coconut oil on it.
8.Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it in a circular motion to form a pancake.
9.Add the chicken filling on one side of the pancake and fold it into half.
10.Cook until the pancake is golden brown and crispy on both sides.
