Ingredients

6 tablespoons coffee , coarsely ground
3 inches piece ginger , smashed
1 cinnamon stick
3 1/2 ounces palm sugar , coarsely chopped
Indonesian Kopi Jahe is a popular coffee that is commonly served throughout the region, especially during the cold season. Instructions

1.In a large pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
2.Add in the coarsely ground coffee, smashed ginger, and cinnamon stick. Stir well.
3.Let the mixture simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
4.Add the palm sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
5.Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for around 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
6.Strain the mixture into a serving pitcher to remove the coffee grounds and ginger.
7.Serve the Indonesian Kopi Jahe hot with a dollop of whipped cream or condensed milk.
