Ingredients

2 lbs kiwi fruits
1 lb granulated sugar
2 ounces lemon juice
Kiwifruit jam is a delicious and versatile spread that can be used on toast, scones, cakes, and more. The sweet, tangy flavor of kiwifruit pairs well with many different types of bread and baked goods, making it a popular choice for breakfast and snacks. Making your own jam from scratch allows you to control the ingredients and customize the flavor to your liking. Plus, the process of making jam is a fun and rewarding experience that can be shared with family and friends.

Instructions

1.Wash the kiwi fruits and peel them with a sharp knife, then dice the peeled kiwis into small cubes and place them in a large pot. Add sugar and lemon juice to the pot and mix everything well.
2.Set the pot over medium heat and cook until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Once the sugar has dissolved, increase the heat and allow the mixture to boil.
3.Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and reaches the setting point. This usually takes around 45-50 minutes.
4.Test the jam by spooning a little onto a chilled plate. Allow the jam to cool for a few seconds, then push the jam with your finger. If it wrinkles, it has reached the setting point. If it is still liquid, continue cooking for a few more minutes.
5.Once the jam has reached the setting point, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down for 5-10 minutes.
6.Spoon the jam into clean, sterilized jars and seal with a lid. Allow the jam to cool completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
