100 g basmati rice , washed and drained
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 liter fresh milk
cardamom powder , to taste ( elaichi )
3 -5 chopped plain pistachios or 3 -5 almonds , for garnishing ( I prefer pistachios )

Instructions

1.Rinse and wash the rice, and then soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
2.Drain the rice and set it aside.
3.In a large pan, bring the fresh milk to a boil.
4.Add the rice to the boiling milk and turn down the heat to medium.
5.Stir frequently to ensure the rice doesn't stick to the bottom.
6.Once the rice is cooked, add the condensed milk and cardamom powder to the pan.
7.Cook for another 5-10 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously to make sure the mixture doesn't burn.
8.Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.
9.Garnish with chopped pistachios or almonds before serving.
