Ingredients

8 curry leaves , thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon fennel seed
1/4 teaspoon onion seeds
1/2 teaspoon crushed dried red chili
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon crushed pomegranate seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ginger , chopped
2 garlic cloves , chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
1 fresh green chile , chopped
1 medium onion , sliced
1 1/2 lbs skinless chicken , and cubed
1 large tomatoes , sliced
1 tablespoon coriander leaves , chopped
Khara Masala Chicken is a spicy and flavorful Indian dish that is commonly prepared in the southern part of India. Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix together curry leaves, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, onion seeds, crushed dried red chili, cumin seeds, crushed pomegranate seeds, and salt.
2.Heat canola oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3.Add the green chili, ginger, and garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes or until fragrant.
4.Add the sliced onion and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
5.Add the chicken cubes and cook for 10 minutes or until tender.
6.Add the sliced tomatoes and the spice mixture into the pan, and stir well.
7.Cook for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
8.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
