3 cups thai long-grain jasmine rice ( about 1 1/2 pounds )
water
Khao Plow or Thai Jasmine Rice is one of the most well-known rice varieties in the world, originating in Southeast Asia. Instructions

1.Rinse the jasmine rice in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
2.Add the rice to a rice cooker or medium saucepan with 4 1/2 cups of water.
3.Cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
4.Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed.
5.Remove from heat and let rest, covered, for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork and serving.
