Ingredients

1 lb beef mince
1 tablespoon flour
1 pinch dried chili pepper flakes
1 handfull fresh basil leaf , torn or chopped ( i usually use a bit more )
1 onion ( small , medium )
1 tablespoon olive oil ( for frying )
11 ounces chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup beef or 1/2 cup chicken stock
salt & pepper
spaghetti
parmesan cheese ( to serve )

Instructions

1.Take the beef mince and sprinkle flour over it while mixing it together to ensure the flour is evenly distributed.
2.Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced onions and fry until translucent.

4.Pour in the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, red wine and stock, followed by chili pepper flakes, fresh basil, salt and pepper.
5.Mix thoroughly, reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 45 minutes until the sauce has thickened up.
6.In a separate pot, boil the spaghetti until it is cooked to your liking.
7.Plate the spaghetti and pour the bolognaise sauce on top followed by a generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
