Ingredients

1 kg chicken piece
2 large potatoes
3 green chilies ( nothing more was specified , go with you like )
1 inch fresh ginger , juliened
4 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
4 cardamom pods
4 peppercorns
2 bay leaves
200 ml thick coconut milk ( or more to taste )
100 ml water
2 tablespoons oil , preferably coconut oil -
salt and pepper
fried cashew nuts ( optional )
fried onions , slices ( optional )

Instructions

1.Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat
2.Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, peppercorns, and bay leaves to the pot and stir until fragrant
3.Add juliened ginger and chopped green chillies to the pot and stir for 1-2 minutes
4.Add chicken pieces, salt, and pepper to the pot and mix well with the spices
5.Add thick coconut milk and water to the pot and mix well to combine
6.Add sliced potatoes to the pot and stir gently to incorporate
7.Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot and let the stew simmer for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender
8.If desired, garnish with fried cashew nuts and fried onions before serving
