Ingredients

1/2 lb ground lean pork
1 cup cabbage ( finely chopped )
3 green onions ( finely chopped )
1 carrot ( finely chopped )
1 garlic clove ( minced )
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 package square wonton wrappers
vegetable oil ( for frying )
chicken broth ( for steaming )
cornstarch
water
Pot stickers, also known as Chinese dumplings, are a popular dish in Asian cuisine. They are small pockets of dough filled with a variety of ingredients and then pan-fried and steamed. Kelly's Pot Stickers are filled with lean pork, cabbage, green onions, and carrot, and seasoned with soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil. These pot stickers are easy to make and can be served as an appetizer or snack. They are perfect for entertaining or a quick meal on a busy night.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, cabbage, green onions, carrot, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
2.Place 1 tablespoon of filling onto each wonton wrapper and fold the edges over to seal, making sure there are no air pockets.
3.Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pot stickers and cook until browned on one side, about 2-3 minutes. Then add 1/2 cup of chicken broth to the skillet, cover with a lid, and steam until the pot stickers are cooked and the liquid has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes.
4.Mix together 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water, and pour the mixture into the skillet. Stir until the liquid thickens and coats the pot stickers.
