Ingredients

450 g tenderised chicken breasts
2 large onions , very finely chopped
2 tablespoons yoghurt
3 garlic flakes
1 inch ginger
1 green chili
2 medium tomatoes , pureed
1/2 teaspoon kashmiri chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
salt , as required , tenderised chiken requires lesser salt
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves ( Kasoori Methi )
1 tablespoon cream ( optional )
Kasoori Murg Makhani is a very popular Indian dish that is known for its creamy, buttery texture and delicious taste. The chicken is cooked in a tomato-based gravy that has spices like kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander powder. This recipe calls for the addition of fenugreek leaves (Kasoori Methi) which adds a unique flavour to the dish. It is best served hot with either naan or rice.

Instructions

1.Heat oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium heat.
2.Add onions and fry until golden brown.
3.Add ginger, garlic and green chilli to the wok.
4.Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
5.Then, add kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander powder and mix well.
6.Season it with salt to taste.
7.Add yoghurt and mix well. Cook for a few minutes.
8.Add fenugreek leaves (Kasoori Methi) and stir quickly.
9.Add chicken to the gravy and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame until chicken is cooked through.
10.Finally, add some cream to the wok and mix well. Serve it hot with naan or rice.
