Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup dutch process cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup butter , melted and cooled
4 eggs
1/4 cup Kahlua or 1/4 cup other coffee-flavored liqueur
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts ( pecans , walnuts , or almonds , for use to garnish icing when finished ) ( optional )
1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
1 ounce white chocolate , chopped or 1 ounce white chocolate chips
Kahlua Brownies with White & Dark Chocolate Frosting are a decadent dessert that is perfect for special occasions or when you just need a sweet treat. These brownies are rich, fudgy, and full of chocolate and coffee flavor. The Kahlua gives the brownies a subtle coffee flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweet white and dark chocolate frosting. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and set aside.
2.In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
3.Add melted butter, eggs, Kahlua, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
4.Fold in mini chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
5.Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the brownies.
6.Let brownies cool completely before frosting.
7.For the white chocolate frosting, melt white chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Once melted, stir in 1/4 cup softened butter until smooth. Gradually stir in 3 cups powdered sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until the frosting is smooth and spreadable.
8.For the dark chocolate frosting, melt dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Once melted, stir in 1/4 cup softened butter until smooth. Gradually stir in 3 cups powdered sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until the frosting is smooth and spreadable.
9.Once the brownies have cooled, spread the white chocolate frosting over the top of the brownies and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
10.Then spread the dark chocolate frosting over the white frosting layer. Sprinkle with more chopped nuts if you prefer. Let the frosting set before cutting into squares.
