Ingredients

1 tablespoon oil
2 fresh green chile peppers , chopped
1/2 teaspoon jeera ( cumin seeds )
1 pinch hing ( asafoetida powder )
2 cups fresh peas
1 teaspoon white sugar
salt to taste
2 cups maida ( refined white flour )
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons water , or more as needed
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander ( cilantro ) , or to taste
1 teaspoon lemon juice
vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1.Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.

4.Add the fresh peas, white sugar, and salt to taste and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the peas are cooked through.

6.In a separate bowl, mix the refined white flour, 1 tablespoon of oil, and enough water to form a stiff dough.
7.Divide the dough into equal sized balls and flatten each into a small disk.
8.Place a spoonful of the pea mixture in the center of each disk and bring the ends together to enclose the stuffing.
9.Pinch the edges together to seal and flatten slightly.
10.Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
11.Once the oil is hot, gently drop in the kachoris and fry until golden brown.
12.Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
