Crab Rangoon is a popular American Chinese appetizer of deep-fried wonton skins filled with a mixture of crab meat and cream cheese. It is extremely appetizing and prepared similarly to wontons with thicker and creamy filling and the addition of seafood. The origins are unknown, but it's believed they were invented in the USA in the 1950s. The creamy, savory mix creates a powerful taste sensation, especially when coupled with the crispy wonton wrapper. The result is a crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside nugget of flavor.
