12 lasagna noodles , cooked and drained
1 medium onion , chopped

4 cups marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 containers ricotta cheese
1 egg , beaten
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese , divided
2 cups fresh spinach , chopped
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
3.In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage, onion and garlic over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
4.Add marinara and oregano to the skillet; simmer for 5 minutes.
5.In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, beaten egg, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese and spinach.
6.In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread 1-1/2 cups of marinara sauce.
7.Place 3 cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
8.Layer 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by 1/3 of the shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
9.Repeat layers two more times, ending with the remaining marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
10.Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
11.Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
