Ingredients

1 jasmine tea bag
1 cup jasmine rice
1 cup fresh green peas ( frozen can be used-thawed to room temperature )
1 large carrot , thinly sliced
3 tablespoons vegetable oil ( more or less )
2 tablespoons regular sesame oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated fresh ginger , to taste ( NOT dried ginger )

Instructions

1.Boil 2 1/2 cups of water and add the jasmine rice and tea bag.
2.Let the rice cook and then remove the tea bag.
3.After the rice has cooled down, fluff it gently with a fork and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
4.Add the green peas and sliced carrot to the bowl and mix everything together.
5.In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and grated ginger.
6.Pour the dressing over the rice mixture and toss everything together.
7.Serve the salad chilled or at room temperature.
