Ingredients

6 cups water
3 cups sorrel , pedals
1 ounce gingerroot ( one inch thick piece )
6 whole pimientos
1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

1.Rinse sorrel pedals with cold water.

4.Strain mixture and discard solids.
5.Add sugar while mixture is still hot and stir to dissolve.
6.Let mixture cool to room temperature and serve chilled.
