Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2.In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, baking powder and soda, and mix well
3.In another bowl, cream together the butter and mashed bananas, then add the egg and milk and beat well
4.Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix well
5.Fold in the nuts, if desired
6.Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan and spread the mixture evenly in it
7.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
8.Remove from the oven and allow to cool before cutting into bars
