Ingredients

1 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 pork cutlets ( or pork steaks pounded thin )
1 egg , beaten
1 medium onion , diced
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cups water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup sour cream
Jagerschnitzel is a classic German dish made from breaded and fried pork cutlets, topped with a rich mushroom gravy. Instructions

1.In a shallow dish, mix together breadcrumbs, flour, salt, and pepper.
2.Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3.Dip pork cutlets in beaten egg, then coat them in breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
4.Fry pork cutlets in the hot oil until golden brown, turning once. Remove from pan and set aside.
5.In the same pan, sauté diced onions until tender and golden, approximately 4-5 minutes.
6.Add sliced mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
7.In a small bowl, dissolve beef bouillon cube in 1.5 cups of water, then pour this mixture into the skillet. Bring to a boil.
8.Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and add to the skillet. Stir until gravy thickens.
9.Reduce heat and stir in sour cream with the mushrooms and onions. Cook for 1-2 minutes until sour cream is heated through. Do not boil.
10.Serve the pork cutlets with mushroom gravy on top. Enjoy!
