1/4 cup sliced fresh basil ( to garnish ) ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C).

3.Mix the ingredients together until well combined.
4.Using your hands, form the mixture into 12 small meatballs.
5.Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
6.While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the ciabatta or focaccia bread by cutting it into squares.
7.Slice the baked meatballs in half and place them onto the bread squares.
8.Top the meatballs with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
9.Place the meatball sliders back into the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
10.Garnish with sliced fresh basil before serving.
