2 cups saltines , crushed ( about 60 crackers )
2 cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup parmesan cheese , grated

1 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon salt
12 submarine buns , sliced
mozzarella cheese ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
2.Add in Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley flakes, oregano, and pepper, stirring until well combined.
3.Add in ground beef and crushed saltines, stirring until fully incorporated.
4.Form mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
5.In a large skillet, cook meatballs until browned from all sides.
6.Add in tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, parsley flakes, and salt, stirring until well combined.
7.Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.
8.Preheat oven to 350°F, and toast submarine buns until lightly browned.
9.Place hot meatball and sauce mixture filling in each bun, and top with mozzarella cheese (if desired).
10.Serve hot and enjoy!
