1 lb hamburger , browned and drained
6 cups water
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons beef base or 6 beef bouillon cubes

1 can tomato sauce
1/3 - 1/2 cup salsa , to taste

1 celery rib , chopped
6 baby carrots , sliced
1 cup frozen green beans
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup frozen corn
1 can kidney beans , drain and rinsed
1 cup uncooked pasta or 1 cup rice

Instructions

1.Brown the hamburger and drain.

3.Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Add the chopped celery, sliced baby carrots, frozen green beans, frozen peas, frozen corn, and drained and rinsed kidney beans to the pot. Allow the mixture to simmer for 30 minutes.
4.Add in the browned hamburger and uncooked pasta or rice and continue to simmer until the pasta or rice is cooked through.
