Ingredients

1/2 pound almonds
8 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup confectioners ' sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon water , or as needed

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2.Grind almonds in a food processor or blender until finely ground.

4.In another bowl, cream sugar, shortening, eggs, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until light and creamy.
5.Add ground almonds to sugar mixture and mix well.
6.Gradually stir in flour mixture until a dough forms.
7.Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
8.Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until set.
9.Allow to cool on baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
10.For frosting, mix confectioners' sugar, almond extract, and enough water to reach desired consistency.
11.Drizzle frosting over cooled Tuttu balls
