Ingredients

1 lb ground round
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 egg yolks
salt & fresh ground pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 onion , thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
These Italian beef patties are a twist on the classic burger and are perfect for a quick and easy dinner. Ground round is used to make the patties, which are then seasoned with parmesan cheese and salt and pepper. The patties are pan-fried to perfection and topped with a rich balsamic cream sauce. Caramelized onions add a touch of sweetness to the dish and provide a contrast to the savory beef patties. This dish is perfect for any occasion, from a weeknight dinner to a weekend BBQ.

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine ground round, grated parmesan cheese, egg yolks, salt, and fresh ground pepper. Mix well.
2.Divide the mixture into four even portions and form them into patties.

5.In the same skillet, add thinly sliced onions, olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of butter. Cook until the onions are caramelized and tender.
