Ingredients

6 -8 cross cut blade steaks
6 small yellow onions
1 liter beef stock
1 bottle of irish stout beer or ( 330 ml ) bottle montieths black beer
4 sprigs fresh thyme
salt
cracked pepper
2 carrots
6 small white potatoes
2 kumara
1 tablespoon cornflour

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 360°F.

3.Add seasoned steak on top of onions.

5.Add in thyme and stir to make sure everything is evenly distributed.
6.Cover the dish tightly with foil and cook in the oven for 2.5 hours.
7.Peel and chop the carrots, potatoes, and kumara and add them to the casserole.
8.Cook for another 1 hour or until the vegetables are fork tender.
9.Remove casserole from the oven, add cornflour and stir.
10.Let the casserole sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.
