2 tablespoons dry yeast

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine dry yeast with warm water and sugar.
2.Stir the mixture and let it stand until yeast is dissolved and mixture is frothy.
3.Add Guinness stout beer, honey, margarine/butter, caraway seed, salt, whole wheat flour, all-purpose white flour, and ginger.
4.Mix all ingredients thoroughly to make soft, pliable dough.
5.Place the dough on a floured surface. Knead it for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
6.Put the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
7.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
8.Grease a baking sheet.
9.Punch the risen dough and knead briefly on a floured surface.
10.Make a round loaf and put it on the greased baking sheet.
11.Brush the top of the loaf with melted margarine/butter.
12.Put the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
13.Bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
