Ingredients

1 lb dates , dried & pitted ( I used Medjool )
1/4 cup ghee ( I used butter but it may burn )
2 cups walnut pieces
2 tablespoons sesame seeds , toasted in a dry frying pan

Instructions

1.In a food processor, pulse the dates until they are broken down into small pieces.
2.Melt the ghee or butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
3.Add the dates to the saucepan and stir until they are coated in the melted ghee.
4.Add the walnut pieces and sesame seeds to the saucepan and continue to stir until the mixture is heated through and well combined.
5.Remove the mixture from heat and press it into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
6.Let the mixture cool and set for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
