Ingredients

1/4 cup green gram , boiled ( green moong dal )
1/4 cup bengal gram dal , boiled ( chana dal )
1 tablespoon oil
3 -4 cloves garlic , peeled , washed and cut
salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed , powdered
2 tablespoons lemon juice
10 curry leaves , washed
2 spring onions , with leaves , washed and chopped
Dal Shorba is a popular soup recipe in India, especially in the northern regions, where it is commonly consumed with bread like Naan or Roti. Instructions

1.In a pan, heat oil and add garlic followed by curry leaves and spring onions to it.
2.Then, add cumin seed powder, white pepper powder, and salt, and sauté for a few seconds.
3.Add boiled green gram and bengal gram dal and mix well.
4.Now, add 2 cups of water and cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
5.Add lemon juice and give it a boil.
