Ingredients

30 g butter
100 g raw cashews
3/4 cup sultana
3/4 teaspoon cardamom seed
1 pinch saffron thread
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
50 g rice vermicelli , broken into small strands
edible edible silver foil ( to garnish ) ( optional )
Noodle Payasam is a traditional Indian dessert that originates from the state of Kerala. It is a wholesome dessert that is typically served on special occasions and during festivals. Instructions

1.In a pan, melt butter over medium heat and roast cashews until lightly brown then remove it from pan.
2.Add sultanas, cardamom seeds and saffron to pan and roast them for few seconds then remove it from pan.
3.In the same pan, boil milk and sugar over medium-low heat and stir until sugar dissolves.
4.Add broken rice vermicelli to milk and cook, stirring frequently for 10-12 minutes.
5.Once vermicelli is cooked, turn off the heat and add roasted cashews, sultanas, cardamom seeds and saffron. Give it a gentle mix.
6.Serve it hot, preferably with a dessert spoon of edible silver foil for added glam and texture.
