Chapatis are a staple food in Indian cuisine and are enjoyed by people of all ages. They are a simple yet delicious bread that can be served at any meal. These flatbreads have a soft and chewy texture and can be flavored with various herbs and spices to suit your personal taste. Chapatis are also a great option for those with special dietary needs as they are naturally vegan and can be made gluten-free by using alternative flours.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, combine the chapati flour and salt. Gradually add 3/4 cup water and mix until dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons more water.
2.Knead the dough on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes or until smooth. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
3.Divide the dough into equal size balls. Roll each ball out on a floured surface into thin discs.
4.Heat a griddle pan over medium-high heat. Place the rolled out dough on the pan and cook for 30-45 seconds until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip and cook for an additional 30-45 seconds until slightly browned.
5.Serve warm with your favorite curry or vegetable dish.
