Ingredients

10 potatoes
2 cans beets
2 cups leftover cooked beef or 2 cups cooked chicken
12 hard-boiled eggs
1 jar sweet gherkins
1 jar cocktail onions
1 jar dill pickles or ( 16 ounce ) jar gherkins
mayonnaise
lettuce leaf

Instructions

1.Boil potatoes in salted water for approx.20 minutes until cooked then drain and cool
2.Slice the potatoes and place in a large mixing bowl
3.Cut the beets into small pieces and add to the mixing bowl with the potatoes
4.Add in the shredded cooked beef or chicken and stir to mix
5.Cut the hard-boiled eggs into quarters and add to the bowl
6.Drain gherkins, cocktail onions, and dill pickles jars, then slice the stock into small pieces and add to the mixing bowl
7.Add enough mayonnaise dressing to mix all the salad ingredients
8.Wash and dry lettuce leaves and place as a bed on a large serving platter
9.Spoon the Huzare Sla salad on top of the lettuce bed
10.Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate to allow for flavors to meld before serving.
